Sweet Ana.

Ana was diagnosed with cancer, January 21st 2019. It was a few weeks before her 18th birthday.  It started out with a gum infection, then a UTI two days after finishing those antibiotics. Her mom demanded answers after multiple rounds of antibiotics didn't help her discomfort. She was super tired, weak, lethargic, and couldn’t hold anything down for about a week before they finally had bloodwork ordered. Turns out, a mothers intuition knew there was something else going on, and Ana was diagnosed with cancer: acute lymphoblastic T-cell leukemia (ALL). After many rounds of chemo, Ana suffered hair loss, and that didn't stop her from documenting her senior year. Ana is a peaceful warrior, and with the love of her mother carrying her, she is a testimony to living a life of wonder, perseverance, and hope.

 

Two and a half years later, sweet Ana is in remission.
