Waylon, 'Masman'

On Christmas Eve of 2010, Waylon got the 'worst headache of his life.' Nothing eased the pain throbbing in his head, so he and his wife, Cece, went to the ER. An MRI showed a baseball sized tumor behind his left eye, and within days he was having his first (of three) brain surgeries. He was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma, grade III brain cancer. Over the past 11 years, Waylon has been through multiple rounds of chemo, and various treatments. He is currently going through chemo, and is supported by family and community bake sales for over the past decade. I am honored to continue to serve The Moore Family for many years with the gift of portraiture, and little candid moments that can never be created. I have hope that I will continue to document them for many years to come.

 

I'll always have hope for, 'One Moore Day.'
